In July 2026, I photographed the recording session for Symffoni’r Môr Mawr – A Transatlantic Symphony, a specially commissioned orchestral work gifted by the Welsh Government to the United States to mark the 250th anniversary of American independence.
The piece brought together a star cast, including Sir Bryn Terfel, pianist Chloe Flower, conductor Karen Ní Bhroin, soprano Ellen Williams and National Poet of Wales Hanan Issa with the 15 minute piece composed by Welsh-born and New York based, Katie Jenkins. The piece was formally presented at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. on 2nd September.
