Portrait of Britain 2017

Really pleased to have my portrait of Vivienne Rickman – Poole, outdoor swimmer, artist and educator selected for the British Journal of Photography’s Portrait of Britain 2017. The exhibition will be showing on digital screens up and down the country at shopping centres, rail stations etc from 1st- 30th September 2017.

The image was shot as part of a series commissioned by the Guardian Labs in conjunction with a campaign they were producing with San Miguel. Vivienne and I spent a great day trekking around Snowdonia.  Despite the chilly October temperatures, Vivienne was a great subject to work with and was really eager to brave the icy waters in order to achieve the shot.
